NOTE: At some point in assembling your caddie for use, establish the habit of making sure the control switch is in the "OFF" position before the battery cables are connected.

     Study the control cable plug and receptacle diagram. Connect the cable plug from the handle to the chassis receptacle on the left rear of the chassis.

     Push the cable plug into the receptacle until it stops. Take hold of the winged locking ring and push forward while turning clockwise. After rotating the locking ring into the approximate position as shown, it will slide forward 1/8". Continue turning the locking ring clockwise until it stops and locks into position, as shown. To remove rotate the locking ring counter-clockwise and remove the plug.

     Set the battery into the battery tray with battery terminals toward the rear of the caddie. Connect the red clip to the red (+) terminal and the black clip to the plain (-) terminal. If the clips are accidentally reversed, your Kangaroo Cadet's axle will turn in reverse and will NOT drive the wheels.
